Places to Go for Resources
Here are a few places that I go to look for current resources:
Math Assessment Project Lessons, tasks, and tests that are correlated to Alaska Standards, including the Mathematical Practices. Inside Mathematics Focus on Problem of the Month and provides videos of the lessons in action. Illustrative Mathematics Find tasks related to the Common Core with common misconceptions provided. YouCubed Activities for teachers and parents to support a growth mindset in learning math. I am looking to create a depository of resources that all of you can add to and share. |
Questions of the Week
Q: Where should we be with our pacing?
A: I am going to try to post a pacing guide in DropBox so that you have a better idea of about where you should be. Q: What do we do with the 7th grade content in this unit?
A: In DropBox, there are a variety of resources to address the 7th grade content that ties to Topic 1. If you are uncertain about the content, I would suggest using a resource with teacher materials. If you are concerned about time, then I would take that into consideration when selecting the activity. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. |
App of the Week
5 Dice: Order of Operations Game
Using all the dice and the order of operations, students aim to hit the target number. Students can choose different levels to challenge themselves. |
